Jason and his dad finally got our sink/cabinet in the bathroom in downstairs. The bathroom is the last thing we needed to do and all we had left was the sink and then the trim moulding and touch ups. They left out this foamy thing from around the counter top and Jaydon ripped little pieces off and they were all over the floor. He was in his "spaceship" for a long time so it was hard to know if I should stop him or let him have at it....all I can say is watch out for Buzz Lightyear this Halloween, he is on a phase right now.

Miniature Golf and Spaceships
We are trying to do fun stuff with Jaydon even though I hate being out in the heat! He loved the golfing at Day out with Thomas and so we took him to a place here in Logan. He had a good time but 18 holes got a little long. They even offered another round because we got there early enough, but we didn't do it..it was still fun.

Dinosaur Park
Couple of weekends ago Jason got off early so we decided to go to the dinosaur park. Wasn't sure if Jaydon would like it or not, but he took a nap while driving there and got out and was more excited than we thought. Some of the dinosaurs scared him but they didn't do anything so once he realized that he was fine.
Two cool dudes in front of the big dinosaur.
Jaydon thought these picture boards were the best.
This picture is funny because he didn't want to stand on the right side of the fence, but that explains his face.
They looked for gold in this thing too. Jaydon didn't seem to care.
He really liked feeding the fish and ducks. We spent too much time letting him do this....
Lastly, I realize there are no pictures of me, but that is on purpose! I am super swollen with this pregnancy and it seems like it is always really hot! I've had my picture taken every couple of weeks, but I look puffy in all of them! Anyways, almost 7 months-not too much more to go, we can't wait to meet her!

July 4th weekend
We had a fun 4th of July weekend and Jaydon had fun with Jason home. We went swimming, to the Logan fireworks, and then to Idaho Falls. It was nice to havetime together.
Jason and Jaydon playing football before the fireworks began in Logan
Jaydon at the parade. He loves fire trucks, cars, floats, candy, anything really that is at the parade!
Jaydon and Addy playing games at my parents house. They had a bucket of really sticky, big bubble stuff. The kids thought it was fun.
Another game of hitting the water bag. The kids liked this too, and it was nice and cool when it broke too!
Our plans were to come back after a few days, but we ended up staying. It was nice to do that though as my sister was leaving on her mission on the Wednesday after. All of my sibling were there and so it was good we stayed.

Memorial weekend
We went to see Thomas the train last weekend over Memorial weekend. Jaydon had been looking forward to it for a long time. I don't think he realized the drive was so long as he kept asking if we were by Thomas yet, but once we got there his face lit up and he was excited.

They had other activites to do besides riding the train. He was most excited about miniature golfing. He was having a good time and we both said we should take him during the summer to miniature golf-he loved it!

Jaydon and I on the train. He was too happy to ever look right at the camera. He was looking at all of the different trains that were on the flags and of course they had Thomas music playing...he was in heaven!

We were lucky enough to not have people right behind us in golfing so he went again and again.

Jaydon with Sir Topham Hatt. I thought he'd be shy like the kids in front of us but he went right up to him to pose, no problem!

Last, but not least, we had our ultrasound this week. It was a day I was looking forward to and so now it feels like 4 long months ahead of me! We went in, me thinking more on the lines of a girl and Jason a boy. But right before we went in he said I was probably right since mother's usually have more of a sense of that stuff (or he didn't want to be wrong!) Neither one of us really cared if it was a boy or a girl, but she was wide open to showing us she was a she (hence, I didn't think the picture was blog appropriate!) Hopefully I can handle this long, hot summer and I've never looked forward to October more than now! When I got home and showed Jaydon the little pictures of her, he kept telling me it was a boy and that he wanted a boy, but he is warming up to the idea. We have a few more months to get him ready, but I am sure he will love her to pieces!

May
I always say I love the month of May! Mother's Day was nice with a dinner with Jason's family. It was the best this year as we have sacrament meeting last, Jaydon had already been to nursery. They had made brown paper bags with a mother's face on it that "talked". (It looked like an old matronly lady to me, but oh well....)while sitting during sacrament meeting he was digging around in our bag, found this bag lady and held it up and loudly saying "Happy Mother's Day Mom!" Jason and I both laughed as did the rows around us...what a cutie! This picture is Jaydon with his chef's hat on. He is my little helper in the kitchen, that's for sure!

Next weekend, Jason and I were off to Boise. Jason hadn't been there and it had been awhile for me. We went to Red Lobster for dinner then to Wicked. We both loved it and thought it was awesome! I'm so lucky to have a husband into that kind of stuff! Then next morning we went to the Boise temple to realize it was packed with weddings. So we decided to head to Twin Falls where Jason's sister had an empty house and stay in. I really wanted to do sealings on our anniversary so we were lucky enough to find a ward who had scheduled a time to do that there. We are too lucky in Logan to just go anytime without an appointment. It was nice to go and afterwards we went to dinner, did some shopping, and watched a movie. I was thinking about Jaydon all of the time since I had never left him and was ready to go home. Sunday morning we woke up and headed home to him telling me to go on a trip! He had a good time with his grandma and my sister, and it was nice to have so many people to help!

This weekend we had my birthday. Friday I had lunch with a friend, then had a hair appointment. We had a pizza dinner and Jason and I went to a movie. It was a busy day but it was fun. Saturday we got bark in our yard and went to Black and White Days for a parade and then a bbq with Jason's family. BUSY! It is best that way to keep going and we love our Sundays that are relaxing so we can go on a walk and play at the park! More fun for the rest of the summer, we are all hoping!!!

Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to Jaydon! He is now 3 years old and I can't believe how quickly time has gone. The night of his birthday I took him into his bedroom to lay by him for a minute. He always asks for stories and we make them up most of the time. But, I decided to tell him about a special little boy that came to live with us that made us the happiest parents, and told him how much we loved having little baby Jaydon with us and adored everything about him. He was smiling the whole time knowing I was actually telling him about him. He really is the best son I could ask for. He is a typical three-year-old (tools, trucks, dirt, sports...), but he also is very caring and doesn't like when we are sad. He has a love for all things boyish and I can never find batteries or screw drivers as he is always finding them to change out batteries in stuff. He loves to take things apart and "help" put them together. He's always saying randomly throughout the day "I love my dad" or "I love my mom". He wants to know where the other parent is always and I love it when he brings me my mit and asks "You play baseball with me, Mom?" How can I resist! He's fun in every way and I can't imagine my life without him!
With all of the birthdays we go to for family and friends, he remembered his was next. We kept showing him how to hold three fingers up and he got really good at doing it. When we asked him what day his birthday was he'd hold up his three fingers. He is still trying to remember the day, but he definitely knows he's three. The next morning after his birthday, he woke up and the 1st thing he said as he held up his fingers was "I'm three today, but it's not my birthday!" It was pretty cute. For celebrating, he woke up to Jason taking him to an Easter egg hunt at the park. Then our families came over in the afternoon for a picnic (that is what Jaydon kept calling it so luckily the weather cooperated!) We had sandwiches and cake and ice cream and the kids just played around. He was so good and patient as I made his Dash birthday cake. That's exactly what he wanted and he loved seeing it all finished and kept wanting to play with him. Later that day, we spent time getting out his track and trains, then dyed eggs with him and some of my family stayed over and visited. Easter was fun as well and Jaydon was excited to see his basket of goodies Sunday morning. My parents went to church with us and we then went to Jason's parents that afternoon! It was a busy weekend but so fun, we loved every minute of it. Can't wait to see what adventures await us in the coming year! We love you Jaydon!

Spring, Anyone???
Well, I just ordered a swimsuit and so spring is definately on my mind! I feel like we've had snow forever, but it has been nice the last few days when we've been able to get outside and play without bundling up too much. There was ONE day when Jaydon and I went down to the park mid-February in jackets, but then these snow pictures were taken since then. Nothing stops Jaydon from wanting to be outside, can't blame him though, it's been a long winter. At least MOST of the snow is gone now and he hasn't had to wear his coat much.

On another note, I decided to make these rainbow cupcakes with Jaydon for St. Patrick's Day. I saw these on a blog I like to read and they are from a Family Fun article. Jaydon loved helping me put the dye in the batter and then helping me layer the colors into the liners. Even though they ended up a little "tie-dyed" they were fun and he had fun eating them! I think the cousins enjoyed them too! Now for the actual day I will have to see what food I am willing to eat green, most things you have to dye just sound/look gross! I have a little project we can do and we'll figure out something fun to have-that is part of the fun for Jaydon! Happy St. Patty's!
