Lately...

I can't believe that my baby is 18 months already! It's a little wierd because I still call him my baby, but then I see moms with baby babies and realize that Jaydon is not the tiny little thing I used to snuggle with, he's still a snuggler, but almost a 30 pound one at that. We took him to nursery a few weeks ago and suprisingly I wasn't sad about it. Everyone told me that that would be hard to do, because you then realize just how big they are getting. But, after chasing him in the halls for the last few months, it was a relief for me, and for him that he could go play instead.

Me with him after. (He spilt the water he got at nursery all over him, and that is why he's getting dry clothes!)

We also went to the Pumpkin Walk last Saturday and it was cold. Jaydon looked at the displays, but once he was down, he ran off and played in the middle. The witch at the end was a little scary, it was fun to see Jaydon's face looking at her. My camera batteries died before I got any good pictures, but I do have one of Jaydon and Jason "bundled up" and carved pumpkins that were displayed. I wish I would've charged my batteries, but there's always next year, right?

Grandma's Halloween Party

Jaydon went to his 1st Halloween party a couple weeks ago! My mom has one every year and the beginning of October worked out best for everyone to come...it was a cold day and so I thought Jaydon would be comfy in his little dragon costume, but he didn't really like it, he had more fun without it on...maybe I should put it on him a few times before Halloween, I don't know!?
He loved the bean bag toss, or more specific, the bean bags...he had a hard time sharing so everyone could have a turn...

These are the cute NON-MESSY pumpkins that the kids decorated, just felt eyes, nose, and mouth!

A pic. of all the grandkids in costume...grandpa had to keep throwing the ball to Jason so that Jason could throw it back, otherwise Jaydon was out of there...

Thanks honey!

We've been busy lately with all of the end-of-the-summer projects. Jason's travel time hits heavy this last quarter and so I've been making him do stuff for me before he's gone! He went to help his grandma out last Saturday and hauled hay for her, only to come home and help me buy and organize our food storage. Then this past weekend we decided Friday night to carpet clean our cars and house, finish painting the garage, and mow the lawn. His mom was going to come help Jaydon as he has a thing with vacuums. (He "helped" me vacuum last Friday and it took us 32 mins. and we don't have a lot to vacuum! Those pics. are on our camera) Well, Saturday morning rolled around and his mom called and asked if I'd going into town with her and instead of being gone an hour, we made a few other stops and didn't get home till 3 hours had past! Jason had finished painting the garage so we no longer needed grandma to help entertain Jaydon. I carpet cleaned both cars, and Jason mowed the lawn and organized stuff in the garage, we went inside to carpet clean our floors, and still made it to "Up!" that night. Only to turn around Sunday and have our pictures taken by his sister. (Thanks Jessica, they turned out great!) So, last night after the busy weekend I realized just how lucky I am to have a hard-working husband! So thanks for all you do! (I haven't down loaded the pictures from my camera yet, but here are some of the pictures from Jessica!)

Hogle Zoo

I haven't been great at posting new stuff on here, but we've had a fun summer. We also got a new computer and I'm still trying to get used to the new programs and such. Jason is getting into some of his busy times at work and has already traveled for all or part of the last 3 weeks. He'll be home for a little while so that'll be nice! BUT, we did make it down to Hogle Zoo for a Satterthwaite Reunion with all of my siblings and it was fun. We went a couple weeks ago when it was 100 degrees so after spending much of the day there, we headed back to my parents hotel to swim and cool off, then drove home after an exhausting fun-filled day!
A picture of all of the cousins...

Jason and Jaydon posing by the rhino...

We saw this tiger and it was standing right by the fence and in front of the glass. It was a crowd-stopper, and I can see why. This tiger was really big...

Jaydon probably had the most fun visiting the giraffes as they were eating and he got to see them up close. We were up top for a long time...it was pretty cool too!

Regional Champs!!!

Jason and I played on our ward co-ed softball team for the regional championship games. We were gone playing games Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night, sometimes double headers- it was fun! We even got these extra large t-shirts for winning and a "team photo" afterwards. It reminded me of way back when we used to play. Jaydon had a good time too, playing with all of the kids and loving the drinking fountain! We've been busy this month playing while the sunshine is still out and even took Jaydon the the Logan Aquatic Center. He liked it more that I thought considering he isn't a fan of being sprayed with water by the sprinklers. Lots of time spent at the park and on walks and anything outside. Gotta love summer!

I'm just venting...

Ok, kids are a lot of work and it wasn't like I didn't know this...but sometimes I just want to scream and throw my hands up in the air! Lately Jaydon has been pushing the limits. I think he likes to see just how far he can go before I throw a "mommy fit". The other day he got under our kitchen sink, took out a paper towel roll, unwrapped it, then picked up the plastic and threw it in the garbage. At 1st I was thinking "Smart kid!" But there was still some plastic on the floor so I asked him to pick it up and put it in the garbage. He did it, and then I told him "We don't need new paper towels yet, lets just put them back until we need them." I took him over to play with toys and the next thing I know he's in the bathroom....and guess what he found...toilet paper! The best part is when I thought I should document this so he can see just how much I picked up after him, he tried smiling at the camera! AAAHHHHHH! Then I think ok, I'll just give him a paper towel, if that's what he really wants, RIGHT? Well, then there is the little trails of itsy bitsy pieces of paper towel that he's broken off. And I mean itsy bitsy. Then he's off to the paper plates, then cotton balls, and it's really fun to open the wipes and pull out 13 at a time! 13! No wonder people tell me they vacuum everyday.

BUT, he's a darn cute kid and I thought I shouldn't just post negative stuff about my motherhood dramas. SO, the other day Jason, me and my sister were outside painting a door frame on our garage. It was getting hot, so my sister and I took Jaydon in and we both got a drink and I handed him his sippy cup of juice. But he wanted a BIG cup so I gave him mine when I was done. Then he and my sister were taking turns sucking on the cup to get it to stay without holding it. Whenever my sister would do it, he thought it was hilarious and he'd try too. Everytime I see this picture of him laughing it makes me chuckle. Even thought he drives me nuts and I think I'm more of a neat freak then I thought, he really is being just a kid. And I'll keep reminding myself everyday:)

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July and came home tired as ever. We decided spur of the moment to leave for Idaho Falls on Friday night. We woke up the next morning to hit the Idaho Falls parade. I wasn't looking forward to it, with the hot weather and endless floats, but it was better than I thought. Then Jason and Jaydon along with my mom and sister went to the Mini Bazar (crafty stuff)...and Roberts. We went home to take a much needed nap, play and have dinner before heading to the Fireworks. Jaydon did pretty good, it helped that Addy and Peighton were there to play with him. They played with the rocks and a few things we brought, and we also gave lots of candy to them to keep them near by. We have a great spot to watch the fireworks and afterwards, headed back to my parents to sleep. We stayed for Sunday and headed home that night, sleeping in on Monday! It was really fun and busy, but we had fun getting away for a bit and seeing my family. Happy 4th to everyone!
